Putin: Russia ready to supply hydrocarbons to China even after 2060
MOSCOW, Dec 23 (PRIME) -- Russia is ready to supply energy to China even after 2060, when both countries would have achieved carbon neutrality, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the annual press conference on Thursday.
“China and Russia have committed to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060,” Putin said.
Until then, we will supply all kinds of energy to China and are ready (to do it even) further, because 2060 is not the end of life of our states, and carbon neutrality can be achieved in different ways, including possible use of hydrocarbons, if they are consumed in a proper way.”
The president also said that Russia and China continue to cooperate in nuclear power, high technology, space, and in almost all other areas, including high technologies.
